e93 buying advice

Post by smith.james0 » Sat Feb 03, 2018 3:53 pm

After many years of owning e36's I am looking to buy a facelift e93, does anyone have a list of things to look out for when buying one? / List of common faults?

Regards

James

Not really specific to the e93, as they seem pretty solid to be fair.

Just don't get the 2.0 petrol engine, it's a sack of shit.

I've a 325i E92 lci with the 3.0 N53. What I found when searching was the same coils / Nox sensor and misfire issues.

Good shout on the NOx sensor, TBH I thought that it was just part of our e93 320 being a pain the ass!

Does facelift = direct injection = not that reliable?

Not really, the biggest issue really with direct injection is the intake tracts and valves getting coked up,, but a walnut blast makes the car feel like new again.
